Time to fly!

Sadly for me, I didn't have a chance to enter this week's LIM challenge - what with a public holiday and school madness eating into the hours, my Friday is coming around too too quickly and instead of crafting, I'll be flying!  Ironically to the land of LIM!

So I take a few weeks forced leave and look forward to going making-mad on my return!

Be happy! xxxx

Some brown and some brown with some brown...

Lady & Diva LIM have set another great challenge this week - Monochromatic.

Here's my take - please forgive my shocking colouring!

This card (and it's twin sister) has been made specifically for friends of my Kindy girl - she is losing two gorgeous classmates as they head overseas - one back home to US and one to Sweden on a new adventure.

Ka kite ano {see you again} friends and have a blast!

cardstock: whisper white, early expresso, crumb cake
ink: early expresso, sahara sand, crumb cake, wild wasabi
stamp: neighborhood (jumbo wheel)
other: hemp twine

Domino book

Learnt how to make this fab little book tonight, over at CA.  It's apparently called a domino book because the covers can be made from homeless domino pieces - I'd very much like to do that!

cardstock: poppy parade DSP, whisper white
ink: poppy parade, peach parfait, blushing bride, basic black
stamp: Kimono Kids (LOVE. IT.)
other: poppy parade ribbon, chipboard

LIM 2...

And my second entry for this week's LIM - Pick a square challenge...

I love this card!

So simple yet so.... me - it's the kind of card I give easily and widely.... somehow not all cards are like that, right?

cardstock: whisper white
stamp: Awash With Flowers, a little birthday cheer
ink: baja breeze, regal rose, wild wasabi
other: nestabilities

LIM-time!

My becoming-everso-wonderfully-regular Friday crafting has produced another couple of LIM entries for this week's challenge - Pick a Square.

First up, a simple card taking the centre square and layering up.  I'm utterly obsessed with kraft / crumb cake at the mo so just had to make one itty-bitty effort with my colour du jour!

cardstock: kraft, cherry cobbler
ink: cherry cobbler
stamps: artistic etchings, a little birthday cheer
other: build-a-brad

Pretty Punch Princess Dress

Here's my take on a card I cased from Monica Gale (one of the top UK SU gals).  Her's is way softer but I was making mine from memory, late at night and with a cold... well that's my excuse anyway!

... besides, the little cherub it's going to is a bit more rock than ballet  ;o)

cardstock: melon mambo, whisper white, thick acetate
ink: melon mambo, regal rose
punches: large oval, round tab
other: basic rhinestones, spritzer

Napkin Magic!

I've picked up another fantastic technique from those gals at CA (Julia Leece, in fact) - this postcard is made out of a serviette (with help from a little gradwrap) - YES, WAY!
